The Ottawa Champions fell in the series finale 14-5 to the New Jersey Jackals on Wednesday night.

 

The Champions will kick off a four-game set with the Quebec Capitales tonight. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm at RCGT Park.

Canadian teenager Denis Shapovalov will face top-seeded Rafael Nadal on centre court tonight at the Rogers Cup in Montreal.  The 18-year-old Shapovalov is the youngest player to reach the round of 16 of a Master Series tournament since Nadal in 2004 at Miami. Fellow Canadian Milos Raonic struggled with a wrist injury last night and lost to France’s Adrian Mannarino 6-4, 6-4.

 

 

Former welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre has confirmed he will make his long-awaited comeback against middleweight title-holder Michael Bisping on November 4 at U-F-C 217 in New York’s Madison Square Garden. The 36-year-old from Montreal posted a photo on Instagram showing him smiling as he signed the bout agreement.

 

 

Jordan Spieth begins his run at history today at the P-G-A Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina. He’s won the Masters, the British Open and the U-S Open, all before the age of 24. If he can complete the Grand Slam sweep this year with a P-G-A Championship win at the Quail Hollow Club, he’ll be the youngest to ever do it.
