The 800 semi-finals are today at 2:25pm and the finals are Sunday at 3:10pm.

 

Bishop won gold at the Canadian Track and Field Championships in Ottawa in July.

 

 

What about Canadian teenager Denis Shapovalov?! The 18 year old from Richmond Hill knocked off number-one seed Rafael Nadal at the Rogers Cup in Montreal in three sets.

 

Shapovalov advances to a quarter-final meeting with France’s Adrian Mannarino, who defeated Hyeon Chung of South Korea.

 

 

Quail Hollow wasn’t very kind to the 155 competitors in the opening round of the P-G-A Championship.  Kevin Kisner and Thorbjorn Olesen share the lead after shooting 4-under 67s. It’s the highest score to lead after the first round of the P-G-A Championship since Matt Kuchar shot 67 at Whistling Straits in 2010.
