Following a 16-month investigation, OPP along with several police forces executed a total of 23 co-ordinated search warrants last Wednesday from what they called a “sophisticated and extensive” drug trafficking network across Ontario.More than 150 charges were laid against 29 people, many of who are from Ottawa and the valley regions including three from Carleton Place and one from Smiths Falls. Many are Hells Angels members. The OPP also seized $100,000 worth of cocaine, along with a multiple variety of other drugs. 10 vehicles, two Harley Davidson motorcycles and $300,000 in cash were also seized during the raids. Prohibited weapons, including brass knuckles, butterfly knives, firearms and ammunition, a crossbow, two Asp batons and three pipe bomb containers were also items gathered from several homes
