Starting today, Monday May 25, the Lanark County OPP has new administrative office hours at the Carleton Place Detachment. Earlier this year, the Town of Carleton Place eliminated one of the administrative positions at the Carleton Place Detachment which had been supported as an enhancement to their policing contract. As a result of this, the new office hours for the public are;Mondays- Wednesdays and Fridays- 8am – noon and 1pm to 4pm the administration office will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays
The administrative office at the Lanark County Detachment in Perth remains open Monday through Friday, 8am until 4pm and accepts Criminal Record Check requests from all Lanark County OPP policed residents. The reduced hours at the Carleton Place Detachment will not affect police response to calls for service. There is a phone located outside the Carleton Place detachment that connects with the OPP Provincial Communications Centre for anyone needing assistance at any time.
