Snowboarder Shaun White is moving on to the men’s halfpipe final at the Pyeongchang Games. The 31-year-old scored 98.5 points to finish first in qualifying. White won gold at the Turin Games in 2006 and again in Vancouver in 2010. Earlier today, American teenager Chloe Kim captured gold in the women’s halfpipe.

Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Marcus Stroman and Tampa Bay’s Jake Odorizzi went to hearings to begin the final week of what could be the busiest salary arbitration season since 1990. Stroman asked for a raise from $3.4 million to $6.9 million. The Blue Jays argued he should be paid $6.5 million.
