The Carleton Ravens women’s basketball team are champions, the best in Canada after

beating the Saskatchewan Huskies 69-48 in the national final in Regina.

Brad Gushue wins a second straight Canadian Men’s Curling Championship with a 6-4 win

over Alberta’s Brendan Bottcher.    The Gushue foursome will represent Canada at the World Championship in Vegas later month.



Paul Casey wins the PGA’s Valspar Championship at 10 under.  Tiger woods….one shot back. Canadian Corey Conners started the final round with the lead but ended up with a 6-over 77 and out of contention.



Kevin Harvick is looking like the early favourite to win the Nascar Monster Energy driving championship. Harvick winning his third straight cup series race.

67’s drop a 5-1 decision to the visiting Mississauga Steelheads.



A well-balanced offence helped the Raptors to another victory. Jonas Valanciunas scored 17 points, and Toronto earned a 132-106 win over the Knicks in New York for its season-high eighth straight win. Seven Raptors finished in double figures in Toronto’s 15th win in 16 games.



Brian McKeever has become the most decorated winter Paralympian in Canadian history. The 38-year-old visually impaired cross-country skier won the 20-kilometre event in Pyeongchang, for his 11th Paralympic gold medal and 14th overall. McKeever passed alpine skier Lana Spreeman, who’d won 13 Paralympic medals.



Canada’s men’s rugby sevens team suffered a 21-15 loss to Samoa last night to conclude the Vancouver Sevens. The loss left Canada in 14th place at the H-S-B-C Canada Sevens Rugby tournament. It’s the worst finish in three years of the event. Fiji beat Kenya 31-12 to win the tournament.
