Game day for the Sens with the Philadelphia Flyers in town.

Philly might be in a rather surly mood,  coming off an  8-2 pounding last night at the hands of the San Jose Sharks.

Auston Matthews and John Tavares each score two goals leading the Leafs to a 7-4 win over Dallas.   A goal and three assists for Mitch Marner.

The Calgary Flames blank Nashville 3-0. Jets edge the Kings 2-1 and Carolina defeats Vancouver 5-3.

The Boston Red Sox will meet the Houston Astros in the American League Championship Series. They set up a matchup against the defending World Series title holders by beating the New York Yankees 4-3 in Game 4 of their A-L-D-S last night. New York scored twice in the ninth and the game ended with a close ground ball out at first base. The play was confirmed after video replay.

The Toronto Raptors are in Montreal taking on the Brooklyn Nets in an exhibition matchup. It will be a homecoming for Montreal native Chris Boucher, who’s gunning for the open two-way spot on the Raptors lineup.  Boucher is competing with Eric Moreland and Deng Adel for the spot. Head coach Nick Nurse will name his regular-season roster next week.

Canadian swimmer Madison Broad takes her first step towards a potential second medal at the Youth Olympics when she competes in the 50-metre backstroke heats today in Argentina. The 18-year-old from Wallaceburg, Ontario won the silver medal in the 200-metre backstroke yesterday.
