The 2018 Grey Cup is set, and it looks a lot like the 2016 edition. It’ll be the Calgary Stampeders and Ottawa Redblacks squaring off next Sunday in Edmonton for the C-F-L championship. It’s Calgary’s third year in a row heading to the Grey Cup. Ottawa beat the Stamps in the 2016 final, and then Calgary lost to Toronto in 2017.

The season ending tournament started one day too early for Smiths Falls’ Brooke Henderson.

She struggled through that opening round firing a 73.

That dropped her well off the lead but also dropped her two places in the “Race for the CME Globe.”

That is a year long bonus structure, which pays the season winner a million dollar bonus.

Brooke slowly climbed the leaderboard through the final three rounds, she finished 10th in the tournament and finished second in “Race for the CME Globe.”  .

Brooke says she will be taking some much needed time off at home before the LPGA resumes in late January.

Sam Bitten has two goals and two assists leading the 67’s to a 7-4 win over the North Bay Battalion.

Smiths Falls bears whip Pembroke 7-3 in CCHL action.

Rockland doubled Hawkesbury 4-2

Kanata downed Nepean 8-3

Cornwall over Navan 6-3

Carleton Place over Brockville 3-2

Mike Hoffman makes his return to Ottawa tonight as his Florida Panthers face the Senators in one of nine N-H-L games. Hoffman was traded to San Jose and then shipped to Florida in the off-season when Ottawa decided it was time to rebuild. Hoffman enters the night on a 15-game point streak.

It’ll be an all-Canadian meeting tonight in Vancouver when the Canucks play the Jets. After a strong start to the season, Vancouver has struggled, losing its last five games. Winnipeg is playing the first of four straight road games after going 3-0-and-1 on its recent home stand.

The Maple Leafs will try for their fourth win in a row tonight when they host the Blue Jackets. Columbus started the season slow but is also on a three-game win streak and is an impressive 7-2-and-1 on the road. Toronto is coming off a three-game sweep of California. Also, Montreal hosts Washington and Vegas is in Calgary.

The Milwaukee Bucks will try to keep pace with the Raptors tonight in the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee hosts Canadian Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets in one of nine N-B-A games. The Bucks are one game back of first-place Toronto. The Raptors have the night off. They face the Magic in Orlando tomorrow.

It’s a matchup of division leaders tonight when the Kansas City Chiefs kick off against the L-A Rams in the N-F-L Monday nighter. Both teams are 9-and-1 and the Rams are a perfect 5-and-0 at L-A Memorial Coliseum. The winner will sit alone atop the N-F-L standings.
