Elsewhere,   Capitals dump the Islanders 4-1.   Panthers over the Devils 4-3 in overtime…Columbus outscores Detroit 7-5.

A franchise record for the Houston Texans.  They down the Tennessee Titans 34-17 to extend their winning streak to a team record eighth straight game.

With a last-minute field goal, Ottawa’s Ashbury College defeats Chaminade of North York 24-21 to win the Ontario High School Football Championship.

The Toronto Raptors are aiming to keep their stellar pace going as they take on the Grizzlies in Memphis. Toronto has won five in a row and is a league-best 17-and-4 on the season. Memphis, meanwhile, is fourth in the Western Conference at 12-and-7. The Raptors are coming off a 125-115 home win over Miami on Sunday. The Grizzlies have lost two straight.

The Stampeders will hold their victory rally today as they take the Grey Cup to the streets of Calgary.  The team brought the C-F-L championship trophy to McMahon Stadium yesterday, less than 24 hours after defeating the Ottawa Redblacks in the title game Sunday night in Edmonton.

Canada’s women’s rugby team closes out its four-game British tour with a game against Scotland today in Glasgow. The Canadians have two wins and one loss through the first three games of the tour, including a 38-21 victory over Wales on Saturday. Scotland is ranked 11th in the world while Canada is Number 4.
