Max Vernneau gets his start with the Sens tonight against the visiting St. Louis Blues. The 23 year old winger, who grew up in the Glebe, has signed an entry-level contract with the Sens after wrapping up his NC-Double-A season.

LeBron James leads the Los Angeles Lakers into Toronto tonight to face Kawhi Leonard and the Raptors (8 pm Eastern). Eighteen-year-old Bianca Andreescu of Mississauga, Ontario, is in the semifinals of the B-N-P Paribas Open today, playing sixth seed Elina Svitolina. Also, Milos Raonic of Thornhill, Ontario, faces Serbia’s Miomir Kecmanovic in the quarterfinals of the men’s singles tournament.
