The Stanley Cup playoffs get underway with the Columbus Blue Jackets upsetting the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-3.

Islanders beat the Penguins 4-3 in overtime.   Blues stun the Jets 2-1.   Sharks get by the Vegas Golden Knights 5-2 and Dallas edges Nashville 3-2.

The Toronto-Boston series starts tonight.

Also tonight, 67’s look to finish off the Sudbury Wolves.

Patrick Reed looks to defend his Masters title beginning today in Augusta, Georgia.  Reed says seeing the green jacket that he won last year keeps him hungry to win again.

The Toronto Raptors first-round opponents in the N-B-A playoffs will be the Orlando Magic.  The series begins Saturday or Sunday in Toronto.

Aaron Sanchez takes the mound tonight as the Toronto Blue Jays resume their two-game set in Boston. Nathan Eovaldi gets the start for the Red Sox. Lourdes Gurriel Junior stole home and had an R-B-I single as Toronto earned a 7-5 win in Boston on Tuesday.

The Canadian Football League will have a bit of an international flair today. The league holds its first-ever European draft, with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats holding the first pick. Players who attended the league’s combine in Toronto last month are eligible. Winnipeg and Montreal have the second and third selections.

Corey Conners of Listowel, Ontario, tees off at the Masters this morning (8:30 am Eastern) just four days after winning the Valero Texas Open to be the last player to qualify for the prestigious golf major. Mike Weir of Brights Grove, Ontario, is the only other Canadian in the field. Weir also tees off this morning (8:52 am).
