Defending champion Kevin Koe is in action today at the Players’ Championship. He faces Scotland’s Ross Paterson in round-robin play at Ryerson’s Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto. The Calgary skip beat Sweden’s Niklas Edin last night in a rematch of last week’s world final in Lethbridge, Alberta. Edin beat Koe for gold.

The Whitecaps are still searching for their first M-L-S win of the season as they face the Chicago Fire tonight in an away match. Vancouver dropped a 2-0 decision to the L-A Galaxy last Friday and have four losses and a single draw in five outings.
