The Blues are one win away from their first Stanley Cup.  David Perron scoring a controversial goal in the third period St. Louis beating Boston 2-1 for a 3-2 series lead.  Bruins fans were outraged after what they felt was a missed penalty call on Blues centre Tyler Bozak just before the winning goal. The Blues can win the championship at home in Game 6 on Sunday night.

Senators hire former Islanders head coach Jack Capuano as their assistant coach.  Capuano signing a three-year contract and will work under Sens new head coach D-J Smith.

In Montreal, pre-season football….Redblacks and Alouettes play to a  20-20 tie.

Mackenzie Hughes pulled on a Kawhi Leonard jersey at the 13th hole of the RBC Canadian Open receiving massive cheers from the crowd at Hamilton Golf and Couintry Clubs.    Hughes, who grew up playing on the course, shot a 4-under 66 to tie for 15th.   Hughes says he wanted to show his support for the Raptors. Nick Taylor the top Canadian shooting a 6-under 64, just one shot behind leader Keegan Bradley.

The Shoprite LPGA Classic start was delayed because of weather. Brooke Henderson will be teeing off this morning just after 8.

At Rogers Centre,    Aaron Hicks hits a three-run homer and Jay Happ works seven strong innings, Yankees beat the Blue Jays 6-2.

Warriors guard Klay Thompson is set to return tonight from a left hamstring injury for Game 4 of the N-B-A Finals against the Raptors. Two-time reigning finals M-V-P Kevin Durant remains out, however. Durant strained his right calf on May 8th in the Western Conference semifinals. Toronto is looking to go up 3-1 in the series.

Canada’s Gabriela Dabrowski is in the French Open mixed doubles final for the third year in a row (7 a-m Eastern). The second-seeded team of Dabrowski and Mate Pavic of Croatia will face Latisha Chan of Taiwan and Croatia’s Ivan Dodig in a rematch of last year’s French Open final, won by the latter squad. Dabrowski won the 2017 mixed doubles title at Roland Garros with India’s Rohan Bopanna.

The Women’s World Cup kicks off today with host France against South Korea. Canada’s first match is Monday against Cameroon. The Canadians finished sixth in 2015 when they hosted. Meanwhile, Toronto F-C hosts Sporting Kansas City in Major League Soccer action.
