Mike Reilly scored the go-ahead goal 8:48 into the third period, and the Ottawa Senators snapped a seven-game road skid with a 5-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres. David Perron scored once in regulation and again in the shootout as the St. Louis Blues beat the Flames 5-4 in Calgary. It’s the first shootout victory of the season for the defending Stanley Cup champions. Sean Monahan had a pair of power-play goals for the Flames.

Kyle Lowry had 12 points and 11 assists while becoming Toronto’s career assist leader, and the Raptors beat the Atlanta Hawks 130-114 for their season-best eighth straight win. Serge Ibaka had 24 points and 10 rebounds, Pascal Siakam added 24 points and Fred VanVleet had 19 as the Raptors won their 10th in a row over Atlanta.

Devin Booker scored 20 of his 32 points in a decisive third quarter, and the Phoenix Suns never trailed in a 133-104 victory over the Dallas Mavericks. The Suns outscored the Mavericks 48-22 in the third on their way to surpassing last season’s win total of 19.

Dusty Baker is reportedly working to finalize an agreement to become manager of the Houston Astros. The 70-year-old Baker would become the oldest manager in the big leagues. He’d be taking over from A-J Hinch, who was fired two weeks ago after he was suspended for the season by Major League Baseball for his role in Houston’s sign-stealing scandal.
