The Toronto Raptors didn’t make it easy, but they stretched their win streak to a franchise-best 12 games by edging the visiting Indiana Pacers 119-118. Kyle Lowry poured in 32 points and Serge Ibaka added 30, including a huge three-pointer in the dying seconds. Toronto trailed by as many as 19 before storming back.

Trae Young had 38 points and 11 assists and John Collins added 27 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Atlanta Hawks past Minnesota 127-120. Collins had his fifth straight double-double for the Hawks. Canadian Andrew Wiggins scored 25 to lead the Wolves, who lost their 13th straight.

Paul George and Landry Shamet each scored 23 points to lead eight Clippers players in double figures as Los Angeles beat the Miami Heat 128-111 for its third consecutive win. Shamet’s points were a season high and he scored 14 off the bench in the fourth quarter. Kawhi Leonard added 14 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.

Auston Matthews is one goal away form reaching 40 for the second time in his career. Matthews scored his 38th and 39th of the season in Toronto’s 5-3 loss to the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden. Matthews scored 40 goals in 82 games over his rookie season in 2016-17.

The Maple Leafs have made a deal for a new goaltender. Toronto acquired Jack Campbell as well as forward Kyle Clifford from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for forward Trevor Moore and draft picks. The trade was announced shortly after Toronto’s loss in New York.

The Ottawa Senators are looking to snap a three-game slide when they host the Colorado Avalanche tonight. Ottawa has two points over those defeats, however, from overtime and shootout losses. Colorado is in the middle of a five-game road trip. The Avalanche have won four of their last five games.

The Calgary Flames will likely be without captain Mark Giordano when they welcome the Nashville Predators tonight at Scotiabank Saddledome. Giordano suffered an apparent leg injury on Tuesday night in a 3-1 loss to the visiting San Jose Sharks. He did not practise with the team yesterday as he underwent tests.

The Edmonton Oilers can inch closer to Pacific-Division leading Vancouver with a home win against San Jose. The Oilers trail the Canucks by three points heading into tonight’s game. The Sharks, meanwhile, are 15 points back of Vancouver in sixth place in the division. Around the ice, Montreal is home to Anaheim and the Jets visit St. Louis.

Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime takes on France’s Pierre-Hughes Herbert in the round of 16 at the Open Sud de France indoor hardcourt tennis tournament. The 19-year-old Auger-Aliassime is ranked 21st in the world and seeded fifth at the tournament. His opponent is number-67 in the world. This is their first career meeting.

Hayley Scamurra’s third-period goal stood as the winner as the United States women’s hockey team beat Canada 3-1 in Vancouver last night in Game 4 of their Rivalry Series. Jocelyne Larocque had Canada’s lone goal. The U-S has won three of the first four games of the series. The finale goes Saturday in Anaheim.
